Senior Food Service Worker Jobs

Assist in receiving food and supply deliveries, checking and storing food and supplies.

Assist cooks with preparing special diet trays for youth or adult inmates with allergies or diet restrictions.

Maintain constant control of kitchen utensils, tools and equipment for security purposes.

Determine quantities of food to prepare.

Document daily meal counts, transport records and production records.

Conduct daily inspections of kitchen, food storage and dining areas to ensure cleanliness and security.

Has experience within the assigned Social Services function(s).

Approaches working with their partners in a consultative and collaborative manner.

Possesses an ability to exercise responsibility, initiative, integrity, and independent analysis and judgement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Senior Food Service Worker

This is a Casual/Seasonal position which is a non-pension eligible position without healthcare and/or other benefits.

Sets up serving line by gathering utensils, foods and supplies needed for the serving process.

Prepares meal trays by dipping the correct portion of appropriate foods from the serving pan.

Assists cooks by opening cans, slicing and chopping food items, making sandwiches, bulk salads, desserts or preparing beverages.
