Maintains up-to-date skills in Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs) relevant to design work and ensures that maximum use is made thereof.

Extensive experience in design and drafting and experience in personnel administration.

Knowledge of procedures used for the procurement and quantity control of bulk materials applicable to the discipline.

Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, design criteria and codes relevant to the discipline.

Recent work experience in preparing construction documents for electrical or control systems.

Research, review, and application of Company Standards, Municipality Requirements, and Regulatory Codes

Support Professional Engineers during project design phase (standards review, gather calculation inputs, gather permitting requirements, and other engineering activities) as needed

Coordinate I&E design requirements with team members of all disciplines.

Ability to react promptly and efficiently shift priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to elicit cooperation from a variety of sources including team members, project managers, and other disciplines.

Electrical design and field experience in chemical or petrochemical plants is a plus

10-15 years related design experience

Ability to climb stairs and conduct field work on a daily basis is a requirement.

Collaborate with project team to meet technical data package goals of a project.

Select, specify and document purchased components and materials.

Complete designs of assigned projects, including conducting design reviews with project stakeholders.

● Adhere to the company's Health & Safety Policy and Quality Management System.

● Strong troubleshooting skills and decision-making capabilities.

● Participate in ongoing training and compliance requirements associated with the industry.

● Provide on-site and remote specialist electrical, instrumentation and controls field service support for Biogas upgrading plants.

● Analyse system data trend logs to diagnose issues and implement solutions on site and remotely.

● Excellent communication skills, both written and oral with the ability to work with international colleagues.

Participate in post shipment performance reviews (Lessons Learned) and work with management to set and implement continual production improvement goals

Knowledge of NEC with specific emphasis on Hazardous Area design

Knowledge of UL Industrial Control Panel fabrication standards for non-hazardous (UL 508A) and hazardous locations (UL 1203, 698A)

Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in the field REQUIRED

Minimum 3 years’ experience in the manufacturing, oil or gas industries REQUIRED

Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills

• Develops and improves technical knowledge and skills.

Working knowledge NEC, IEC, ATEX, CSA, ISA & UL standards

• 2-4 years of related experience.

• Working knowledge of NFPA70(NEC), IEC, IECEx, ATEX, CSA, ISA and UL standards.

• Previous hands on experience in a role as an electrician or instrument technician is a plus.

• Candidates with knowledge in automation of industrial equipment will be given priority.
