Demonstrated ability to project manage across different teams and time zones, and deliver on deadline.

Edit guides, reviews, and newsletters across our 12 city markets.

Research and fact-check the historical and cultural context of various cuisines, dishes, and neighborhoods.

Serve as substitute editor when dedicated Senior Editors are out of office, both short- and long-term.

Shape offers with an understanding of the market and profit and loss statements

Manage the imprints P&L and editorial staff—both in-office and at-large—for

5-8 years of experience in an acquisitions role at a trade publishing house

Experience supervising and managing staff

Exceptional writing and presentation skills

Evaluate, acquire, and edit 12-15 crime fiction titles with strong sales potential

Copy editing and proofreading skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in PowerPoint, Prism, Excel, Reference Manager, client databases as required.
