Overview A Security Officer Operations Center is responsible for monitoring and responding to security incidents and threats in a variety of settings. They are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of personnel, property, and assets. They may also be responsible for providing security services to clients, such as conducting security assessments and investigations. Detailed Job DescriptionSecurity Officer Operations Center job duties include, but are not limited to:
• Monitor security systems and respond to alarms and other security incidents
• Conduct security assessments and investigations
• Provide security services to clients
• Maintain security logs and records
• Prepare reports on security incidents and investigations
• Respond to emergency situations
• Provide security training and education
• Monitor and enforce security policies and procedures
• Conduct patrols of premises
• Investigate suspicious activities
• Provide customer service
Skill Requirements
• Knowledge of security systems and procedures
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively to security incidents
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• Ability to use computers and security systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Security or law enforcement experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Certification in security or law enforcement preferred
Knowledge
• Knowledge of security systems and procedures
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• Knowledge of customer service principles
Experience
• Security or law enforcement experience preferred
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
