Seasonal Open Space Technicians are responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and management of open space areas. This includes the maintenance of trails, vegetation, and other natural resources. They may also be responsible for providing educational programs and activities for visitors. Duties may include:

• Maintaining trails, vegetation, and other natural resources
• Monitoring and controlling invasive species
• Assisting with the development of educational programs and activities
• Assisting with the development of interpretive materials
• Assisting with the development of public outreach materials
• Assisting with the development of volunteer programs
• Assisting with the development of special events
• Assisting with the development of research projects
• Assisting with the development of management plans
Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of natural resource management
• Knowledge of trail maintenance
• Knowledge of invasive species control
• Knowledge of public outreach and education
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in natural resource management, environmental science, or related field
• Previous experience in natural resource management or related field
• Valid driver’s license
