Screen Print Press Operator Jobs

Minimum 1+ year experience in a print production environment preferred; and/ or equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum 1+ year experience with a Xerox COLOR 1000 Press, preferred

Minimum 1+ year experience with mail/ postage machine, preferred;

Must be proficient in basic computer and math skills

Strong problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.

Assist press operators in production runs, including loading and unloading garments, active quality control, temperature adjustments, and troubleshooting.

Screen preparation including screen selection, degreasing, coating, exposure, wash out, cleaning, and reclaiming.

Selecting, mixing, and modifying ink.

Cleaning and organizing tools, including squeegees, flood bars, spatulas, ink containers, job cart.

Counting and staging garments to be decorated.

Effective time management and organizational skills

Coordinate with design and production teams to ensure that print specifications, deadlines, and project requirements are met.

Proven experience as a Print Operator or in a similar printing role.

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Familiarity with file formats, color spaces, and prepress requirements.

Operate and monitor printing equipment such as digital printers and large format printers.

Reads job specs and procures all applicable tooling

Sets up the printing equipment to accommodate for job orders and specs in the production run

Good communication and problem-solving skills are a must. Process Improvement, Lean or Six Sigma experience is a plus.

Advanced knowledge of all aspects of screen printing production including setting up/breaking down jobs, burning screens, reclaiming screens, mixing inks, etc.

Maintains a vast working knowledge of ink types, as well as detailed knowledge of color-matching Pantone colors.

Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience working with M&R automatic screen printing presses.
