Must have at least 1 year of experience in conducting research, writing peer-reviewed publications.

Demonstrated ability to develop original research agendas.

History of effective collaborations with researchers and other colleagues.

Experience with program management, implementation and basic accounting necessary to draft and oversee a budget.

Demonstrated management experience including ability to motivate and manage staff.

Working knowledge of the politics, economics, history and culture of Eurasia.

Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.

Demonstrated experience working with U.S. Government-funded projects and familiarity with USG regulations and processes.

Working knowledge of Kazakh, Uzbek, and/or Russian (preferred).

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Manage initiatives or activities for the D&I program as needed to address PCORI or program priorities.

Professional experience in health care delivery settings is desirable. Professional experience in program evaluation or related quantitative analysis is also desirable.

Play a central role on the D&I funding team:

Represent PCORI externally and the D&I Program internally.

Collaborate with D&I program staff at all levels; work with other PCORI colleagues as appropriate.

Budget and proposal review skills as well as management.

Provide day-to-day program management support and provide effective coordination to project implementing partners on the ground.

Other duties as assigned by the program management team.

Prior experience in USAID civil society and media-focused projects, especially in closed civic spaces, and knowledge of USAID rules and regulations.

Mentor and coach implementing partners' project team including managers and technical staff.

5-8 years professional work experience in civil society, media, and human rights.
