Revenue Cycle Management Analyst Jobs in California

Monitor and manage revenue cycle (A/R aging, Denials, Short Pays, Appeals) on key performance indicators on a weekly basis.

Manages the overall roadmap, planning and execution of the strategy to deploy A/R, revenue, collections, and access solutions.

May perform any additional responsibilities or special projects as required.

Duties and responsibilities may be subject to change based upon the needs of the department.

Lead and coordinate analytic activities (analyses and report creation).

Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements:

0 – 6 months previous Infusion Reimbursement or Intake/Admissions experience

Supervisory Responsibilities: i.e. hiring, recommending/approving promotions and pay increases, scheduling, performance reviews, discipline, etc.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Prior experience in revenue management, patient financial services and/or health information systems preferred

Engages regularly with revenue cycle managers and directors on improvement opportunities identified through data analysis.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science or an equivalent

Experience: Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.

1-2 years of statistical analysis experience.

1-2 years Hospital Billing experience.

Prior experience with pricing, revenue management, and/or forecasting

Understanding of revenue management concepts (e.g., dilution, displacement)

Demonstrated analytical problem-solving, creative thinking, and partnering skills

Three plus years of work experience in statistical, business analytics, data science, and/or strategy development

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics, or other quantitative fields

Demonstrated familiarity with statistical modeling, optimization, or data science techniques

Experience with contract management/analytic tools.

Good time management and organizational skills to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced working environment.

Minimum 5 years of experience in managed care, Patient Financial Services, claims pricing, or provider payment methodologies for acute hospital settings.

Working knowledge of health care reimbursement practices, claims handling procedures, and health insurance benefit administration.

Experience with billing requirements, CPT, HCPC, ICD10, UB04 coding, and medical terminology.

Certification in Epic Resolute Hospital Billing or Reimbursement Contracts and experience, preferred.

Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare administration or related area; and/or equivalent experience/training.

A minimum of five (5+) or more years of relevant experience.

Ability to manage ad-hoc reporting initiatives on behalf of operational resources and triage revenue cycle issues toward resolution.

Exposure to contracting module and ability to manage interpretation and build functions.

EPIC (or comparable EMR) super user competencies.

Transaction based revenue cycle financial literacy, ability to comprehend complex concepts and identify actionable opportunities through reporting and analytical models etc.
