Overview Residential or Journeyman Electricians are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings. They must be knowledgeable in the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes to ensure that all electrical work is done safely and correctly. This includes wiring, fixtures, outlets, switches, and other electrical components.
