Overview A Resident Physician is a medical doctor who is in the process of completing their medical training. They are supervised by attending physicians and are responsible for providing patient care, performing medical procedures, and teaching medical students. Detailed Job Description A Resident Physician is responsible for providing patient care under the supervision of an attending physician. This includes diagnosing and treating illnesses, ordering and interpreting tests, prescribing medications, and performing medical procedures. They also provide education and counseling to patients and families. Resident Physicians must keep up to date with the latest medical advances and treatments, and they may be involved in research projects. They must also teach medical students and supervise interns and other medical staff. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to make decisions quickly and accurately

Job Qualifications
• Medical degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of a residency program
• Licensure to practice medicine in the state where employed
• Board certification in a specialty, if applicable

• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
• Knowledge of pharmacology and pharmacotherapeutics
• Knowledge of medical ethics and legal issues
• Knowledge of laboratory tests and procedures
Job Experience
• Previous experience in a medical setting
• Previous experience teaching medical students
• Previous experience in research
Job Responsibilities
