Remote Solar Energy Specialist Jobs in California

Verifying the integrity of resources certified for Ancillary Services, include coordinating testing, analyzing test data, and resource testing database management.

A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent education, training or experience in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology or related field.

Equivalent years of education and training, plus two (2) or more years related experience.

Coordinating and analyzing data for certification of resources desiring to participate in the California ISO market and contractual resource reserves.

Experience as a utility industry meter Technician or Engineer desired

Experience with the use of test equipment in high voltage substations and generating plants

Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills are a must.

Possess a cumulative 2.0 GPA or above.

Ability to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.

Ability to provide excellent customer service.

Assist staff with regulatory efforts by performing internet research and analyzing different regulations (local, state, and federal).

Renewables Environmental Permitting Specialist - Works cross-functionally with various departments to ensure consistency environmental design and project permitting requirements.

Project development permitting and environmental experience with recent work supporting the Power/Renewable Energy Infrastructure Sector (battery storage, solar, hydrogen, wind farms..etc)

Experience with environmental zoning analysis and environmental permitting plans for prospective energy infrastructure sites

MUST have environmental assessment experience dealing with wetland, ESA Phase I, cultural resource surveys, and T&E Species reports

Locations: FULLY REMOTE (Anywhere in the USA)

Renewables Environmental Permitting Specialist - Reviews and provides analysis on environmental siting and permitting plans.

Builds and maintains relationships with utility account managers and utility 3rd party programs.

Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

Working knowledge of building structure and electrical systems.

Willing to travel, according to project requirements – California only.

At least one year of industry experience preferred.

Partners and collaborates with subcontractors, manufacturers, and engineering consultants.

If selling in California, California HIS license (We offer help obtaining your HIS if you don’t already possess an active license)

Reliable Transportation and/or Valid Drivers License

Living in (or willing to move to) California, Arizona, or Florida! REQUIRED

Ability to multi-task multiple consulting projects running parallel

Ability to plan own work ensuring short and medium-term commitments are met

Prioritize own work ensuring project objectives and targets are met
