4+ years experience as a legal proofreader

Advanced knowledge of spelling and grammar

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Basic knowledge of MS Word

Close reading of documents for the Firm’s style, spelling, usage, consistency, punctuation, typographical and grammatical errors

Using standard proofreading marks to note suggested edits

Work with internal and client Project Management teams on questions and missing information

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites

Strong grammar, spelling and punctuation skills

Strong organizational skills with ability to successfully juggle and deliver multiple projects

Expected hours are 9:30 AM -6:00 PM EST

Review all copy across all formats for adherence to brand standards

Work with internal and client Project Management teams on questions and missing information

2 years of experience in proofreading

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites

Strong grammar, spelling and punctuation skills

Strong organizational skills with ability to successfully juggle and deliver multiple projects

Review all copy across all formats for adherence to brand standards

Read original copy or drafts, to detect and mark for correction any grammatical, typographical, or compositional errors.

Maintain a log of all materials proofread and or copyedited.

Utilize technology to efficiently complete proofreading/copyediting services like electronic work logs, IM, and track changes for comments; ChangePro for electronic review.

Return marked documents for correction and later check the corrected document against copy.
