Registered Nurse Pool Night Shift Jobs in Iowa

Must be able to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and possess good oral and written communication skills.

Must be able to prepare and conduct in-service educational programs.

As applicable, will be required to demonstrate acceptable knowledge of nursing standards of care for specialty care area.

Must have minimum of 2 years psychiatric nursing experience.

Provides continuous assessment, consults with other team members as required and provides nursing care which demonstrates patient centered/patient valued care.

Exercises independent judgment in providing nursing care.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required

This position will work both MB and L&D. L&D experience preferred.

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

Possesses the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to meet the physical, psychological and social needs of adult behavioral health clients

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Demonstrates clinical practice based on a sound knowledge base regarding behavioral health nursing and psychotropic medications

Implements individualized nursing plan of care, consistent with established policies, procedures, and protocols

Evaluates and documents patient responses to nursing care, and participates in evaluating and improving the delivery of care on the unit

Demonstrates accuracy in entering medication orders on the computer and medication administration

GYN experience as a registered nurse either in an inpatient or outpatient setting.

Identifies, documents, and provides patient education based on learning needs of the patient

Participates in professional development based on the nursing professionals standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:

A confirmed diagnosis of ovarian, cervical, vaginal, vulvar or endometrial/uterine cancer, germ cell tumors or gynecologic sarcoma

Pre-invasive diseases of the cervix, vulva or vagina
