Refining Engineering Supervisor Jobs

Basic math and reading comprehension skills

Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

Previous experience working in steel manufacturing preferred

Certification in operation of heavy machinery such as fork truck, crane, etc. desired

High School Diploma or GED required

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Approves and submits proposals considered feasible to management for consideration and allocation of funds or allocates funds from department budget.

Must possess the ability to employ appropriate project management tools.

Will act as a knowledge resource and guide for less experienced engineers.

Education And/or Experience (minimum Required For The Position)

Manages value stream resources to support daily manufacturing support as well as programmed growth and continuous improvement initiatives.

Plans and formulates aspects of program development and implementation including costs projections, equipment specification and purchasing, reporting and human resource requirements.

Pursues responsibilities with an eye toward innovation and cultivates innovation in personnel; documents and implements as appropriate innovative ideas.

Works with project engineers to manages portfolio of projects and assists in prioritization to achieve year to year budgets.

Minimum of 5 years post-degree engineering experience, refining or petrochemical industry preferred.

Prior supervisory and/or leadership experience preferred.

This position is located in Mandan, ND and reports to the Engineering Manager.

Develops a teamwork approach to providing services and maintains a culture of continuous improvement.
