Reference Laboratory Technician I Jobs in Iowa

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Health care experience to include phlebotomy or IV insertion.

Licensure/ Registration/Certification: Phlebotomy Certificate strongly recommended

Perform functions associated with obtaining, receiving and processing of laboratory specimens on patients of all ages

Maintain laboratory and cardiolology equipment and supplies

Accurately obtain a peripheral IV catheter placement as directed by nursing policies and procedures

Hold CT driver's license. Good driving skills.

Experience as a Laboratory Technician preferred, not required.

D. Performs data entry into LIMS the results generated by AWC as needed

Familiar with computer software like Microsoft Office

Able to identify analytical problems with method, equipment or analyst; determine source of problem and provide remedy.

Ability to detect unsafe condition and take appropriate action.
