Recreation Assistant Community Recreation Jobs in Alabama

Associate's degree in Sports and Recreation Management, Parks and Recreation Management, Physical Education, Business Administration or a closely related field.

Experience working with diverse groups of people (e.g. public, children, senior citizens, parents, etc.).

Mathematical & Statistical Skills. Oral Communication & Comprehension.

Knowledge of various sports, games, and recreational activities suitable for individuals within various age groups.

Knowledge of the equipment and materials used in various sports (e.g., soccer, football, baseball, etc.).

Knowledge of the necessary methods and techniques of planning recreation programs and activities.

Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Knowledge of department and recreation facility rules and regulations;

Knowledge of safety principles and procedures involved in recreational activities;

Knowledge of recreation facility programs and activities;

Skill in the use of modern office equipment;

Skill in performing basic mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages;
