High School Diploma and 2 years of Quality Inspection Experience

3-4 years' experience in the inspection and accepts of parts ranging from simple to complex manufacture to print drawings.

Knowledgeable of Industry Standard i.e.., IPC-J-610, ANSI-J-STD 001

Inspects for proper identity and dimensions using such measuring devices as micrometers, gauges, and calipers.

Visually inspects for obvious defects or damage such as corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, and pits.

Verifies specifications using purchase orders, blueprints, drawing or inspection instructions, and checklists.

Makes pass/fail decisions on inspected goods.

Ability to work effectively with team members and communicate with suppliers and all levels of Management

Review supplier first article reports for completeness per AS9102 requirements and audit several characteristics to substantiate accuracy

Minimum of 5-7 years as a Receiving Inspector or 5 years’ experience as senior Inspector of mechanical equipment

Knowledge of basic mechanical Inspection tools

Occasional travel to other sites and companies for training and certification

Able to work with complex machined parts using CMM, micro-hite and other complex inspection tools

3+ years in a receiving, inventory or materials management role

2+ years of receiving, precision, mechanical or electronics inspection experience

Experience in a high-volume manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or commercial aircraft environment

Experience with GD&T and use of metrology tools and gauges

Good communication skills and the ability to articulate aerospace hardware and systems problems to technical professionals to initiate resolutions

Experience with the control of nonconforming hardware, failure/root cause analysis, corrective & preventative processes.
