Plans required overtime work upon receiving prior approval from Plant Manager

Responsible for direct supervision of employees in assigned area. Reports to Materials Manager

Conducting scheduled safety inspections/audits and developing or directing the related corrective actions

Reporting all injuries and near misses, and participating in injury/near miss investigations and the related corrective actions

Each Perma-Pipe employee is taking responsibility for their own safety and the safety of those who work around them.

Communicates any purchase order issues to procurement and management as soon as possible.

High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate and 2 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Understand and follow standard operating and safety procedures used in materials management.

Intermediate knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system such as JD Edwards; basic Microsoft Office Suite and OBI software skills.

Solid organizing and coordinating skills.

Ability to obtain and maintain Forklift Operator Certification.

Strong project management and planning/organizational skills and the ability to develop and execute realistic action plans

Manage the staffing and training of the receiving department

Develop staff skills and create a rewarding and fulfilling work environment

Act as a knowledgeable and accessible resource for team members

2-3 years of Receiving experience

1-2 years of experience leading a team in a warehouse environment
