2. Training and Experience Exam

Initiate meetings with members of the business community and community groups to develop joint promotional ventures.

Identify opportunities for promoting the department and its message through non-traditional venues.

Release information to the news media and the public regarding department activities, policies, statistics, and promotional and special events.

Represent the department in interviews with broadcast and print media.

Bachelor's Degree public health-related or similar field, such as public health, health communication, health education, social work

Prior experience with data collection and reporting.

Prior experience preparing grant applications and grant reporting.

Prior experience as a coordinator within a public health agency.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Ability to communicate extremely well verbally and in writing - prepare written and oral reports and presentations that communicate necessary inform

Bachelor's Degree public health-related or similar field, such as public health, health communication, health education, social work

Prior experience with data collection and reporting.

Prior experience preparing grant applications and grant reporting.

Prior experience as a coordinator within a public health agency.

Applicant must have 2 years of relevant experience with the following:

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Knowledgeable in principles and practices of public relations, community outreach, and communications

Skilled in communication and media campaigns

Skilled in producing written and online communication materials

Knowledge of applicable City and department policies, procedures, rules, and regulations

One to two years experience in computer entry and knowledge of Windows preferred.

Patient Information Coordinator Position Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.

Completion of medical terminology course and/or medical office work history preferred.

Full time: day (7:30am to 4:00pm).

Contributes to the management of the corporate website including by updating content.

Supports the Branch Chief with managing budget and finance related reporting including updating budget statistics to ensure funding for Branch operations.

Updates and maintain lists of key external stakeholders, including journalists, editors and partners.

Distributes communication products to relevant audiences.

Provides logistical support to Branch-led initiatives and events including trainings, workshops and conferences.

Supervises and provides guidance and training to junior staff.

Knowledge of website and social media management

Knowledge and skills to support the creation, design and distribution of publications, marketing material and multimedia content

Experience working with a focus on details, organization, timeline and due date adherence and multi-tasking skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team

Ability to work with a diverse population of stakeholders.
