Property Disposal Technician Jobs

Deal tactfully with persons from a variety of cultural, educational, and occupational backgrounds who may be experiencing stressful situations

Maintains files and chain-of-evidence records regarding property and its disposition

May transport evidence to or from satellite locations and to the Crime Laboratory for analysis

Modern office equipment, including computer and applicable software programs sufficient to complete required duties

Modern record keeping and filing systems associated with receiving and storing inventory

Basic arithmetic calculations and functions

Property Maintenance or Multifamily Maintenance Experience: 2 years (Required)

EPA and HVAC Certification (Preferred) – Company paid assistance to achieve certification within first year of employment.

Immediately resolve any conditions that appear unsafe and report areas of concern to Community Managers.

Available to work full-time hours, Monday through Friday

10+ years of experience as a Master EOD Technician

10+ years of experience as a Law Enforcement Bomb Technician with five (5) years as a Bomb Squad Commander.

10+ years of experience as a Law Enforcement Bomb Technician.

Successfully completed training in advanced terrorist improvised explosive device (IED) fuzing and firing systems.

Successfully completed advanced training in render safe/disruption of vehicle borne IEDs and terrorist application of electronics.

Graduate of Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal or FBI Hazardous Devices School.

Two years of property or apartment maintenance experience.

Knowledge of carpentry, dry-wall, painting, basic plumbing, basic HVAC, electric, etc.

Completes make-ready process of vacant units as directed by the Property Manager, including repairs, cleaning and painting.

After hours availability in the event of an emergency.

Ability to lift 50+ pounds and climb ladders.

1 + years experience in oil and gas required, three years preferred

Preferred Education, Experience, and Certifications:

Knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing the custody and release of evidence and records.

Knowledge of storing and disposing of crime evidence and confiscated property including narcotics and weapons.

Knowledge of the legalities of auctions and destruction of confiscated property.

Knowledge of police department practices, policies and procedures for assigned area.

Knowledge of general office equipment and operational practices and procedures.

Records management, recordkeeping, filing and basic purchasing practices and procedures.

The information supplied regarding your educational history is examined and verified.

Receives and returns stolen/recovered firearms to other public agencies; arranges destruction of firearms.

Maintains detailed records of chain of custody of all evidence.

Disposes of evidence as directed; researches and processes unclaimed and non-returnable items.

Assists managers in budget optimization; provides budget compliance support.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Reviews and evaluates market area performance on a continuing basis and establishes proper measures of performance.
