Print Production Artist Jobs

2-4 years of experience as a production artist with proven product packaging experience

Comprehensive knowledge of the print production process, including prepress, press checks and color proofs

Experience in preparing files for both print and digital output

Ability to effectively manage priorities and work well against multiple competing deadlines

Able to manage projects from ideation to execution

Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud

Job Title: Print Production Manager

Experience with managing a team of professionals in a print shop/retail type of business.

Experience in Windows networked environments, Mac experience is a plus

Experience with Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Publisher

Experience operating digital printing equipment & large format printing equipment

Build partnerships with key business units and successfully embed a formal, fact-based Strategic Sourcing and Category Management processes

Develop and maintain high quality deliverables (e.g. RFx, Cost Analysis, Vendor Management, Evaluation Tools, Presentations, Negotiation Guides and Contractual Documents)

Assist in developing, designing, sharing and establishing Category Management and Strategic Sourcing best practices

Demonstrate strong facilitation, leadership and interpersonal abilities when working with varying staff levels

Directly own and manage sourcing projects/initiatives across all strategic sourcing phases (pre-Sourcing, Sourcing, and post Sourcing), using varying PM tools

Apply market research and requirements gathering techniques to optimize sourcing approach, foster competition and support positive negotiated outcomes

Knowledge in print production including prepress preparation and color management

Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience

Take lead responsibility for production on full service orders, including finishing services and large job management

Prior experience of FXO products & services offerings preferred

Works with management to reduce company costs/wastes, and to optimize profitability in areas of responsibility.

Produce work in accordance to workflow requirements in order to enable Done Right On Time quality results

Apply a thorough knowledge of theory and technique to achieve the highest possible quality

Troubleshoot equipment and customer problems using extensive knowledge of solutions and resources

Provides input on print budget forecasting, process improvement and vendor management

Must possess time management and organizational discipline

3+ years of retail package / debit card / print production experience (direct mail a plus)

Strong organizational skills, highly detail oriented, while working in a fast-paced environment

Experience with Noosh procurement, JIRA, Confluence, EBX, Oracle and Office Suite a plus

Prepress and vendor collaboration experience required

Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Excellent leadership, follow-up and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task. This includes strong communication and time management/prioritization skills.

Prepare layout by placing art and text; specifying print requirements such as bleeds, clear zones, die-cut and coverage.

Manage the highest level of quality by proofing all products for accuracy.

Strong internet and email skills.

Knowledge of various printing methods (primarily flexography but also offset, rotogravure, etc.) and how to prepare art for each method.
