Preschool Sports Coach Jobs

Sports: Sport experience is a plus but is not necessary!

Professional: Neat in appearance, friendly and courteous with day care center staff and director as well as parents, self-assured

Transportation: Must have your own, reliable transportation and valid license and car insurance

Equipment: Must own and have daily access to a computer or smart device for attendance and scheduling

Will have knowledge or experience of supporting people with additional needs include behaviour, ASC, SEMH and ADHD

Will have experience working with young people

Will hold a Sports related Degree at 2:1 classification or higher

Will set high standards and stretch the ability of all pupils

Monday-Friday (Times): 9:30am -12:00pm and 2:00pm-4:30pm

Our Coaches use individual attention to ensure every child has success

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

College experience and / or greater education experience

1-2 years of sports related background and / or 1-2 years of childcare experience

3-5 years of childcare related experience

3-5 years of sports related experience

Work experience or personal experience in a particular sport is acceptable

$15-20/hr based on experience, paid bi weekly*

Any relevant certifications or qualifications in early childhood education or sports coaching (preferred).

Teach basic motor skills such as running, jumping, throwing, and catching.

Adapt coaching techniques and activities to accommodate the needs and abilities of young children.

Experience working with preschool-aged children in a sports or recreational setting.

Knowledge of age-appropriate sports activities and coaching methods.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with young children and their parents or guardians.

Good organizational, time management, and conflict resolution skills.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.

Knowledge of fitness principles, basic nutrition, and health skills; with a constant drive to search to increase training knowledge.

Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.

Knowledge of all training modalities.

Provides strength and conditioning programs, injury prevention programs, rehabilitation education and sport specific training for assigned athletic organizations.

Certification from recognized personal trainer or strength coach organization

Previous experience as a SC Coach or ATC with high school or professional sports organizations a plus.

Demonstrates working knowledge of the English language, verbal and written.

Requires working knowledge of SC Protocols and Procedures, sports medicine and therapeutic techniques and procedures.

Requires leadership, group cohesion and communication skills promoting teamwork and group achievement.

Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification

Customer service oriented and result driven

3 years’ experience teaching/coaching athletes in strength and conditioning

Professional development support including continuing education

Create a safe, welcoming, and challenging environment for middle and high school athletes

Design and implement yearly training plans for junior-varsity and varsity high school athletes

Collaborate and communicate with sport coaches and Sports Medicine

Bachelor’s degree in exercise science/kinesiology or related field

Proven leadership skills and experience in a fast-paced action sports setting.

Preferred Experience and Special Skills:

Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $17.50 to $19.10+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Effectively oversee participants in the barn to ensure safety standards and proper skill progressions are being followed daily

General knowledge of Front Desk operations and ability to perform duties.

Knowledge of system regarding Barn bookings, private lessons, birthday parties and associated products.

High school diploma or GED, and relevant experience required.

Analyze the current meta to draft up strong strategies that pay to the team's strengths

Enhance internal communication of the players through team-building activities and identifying key communication lapses during games

Ensure players keep a positive outlook on the game, their performance and have a winner's mentality through various motivational tactics

Ensure the players are prepared when traveling and that player jerseys, sponsorship items, and team-branding merchandise, etc. are ready for competition

Coordinate scrimmages for the teams to provide mor practicing opportunities

Basic computer knowledge( including Word, Excel, and e-mail)

Enthusiastically greet campers and parents/guardians upon arrival

Engage campers in scheduled camp activities, ensuring their safety at all times

Maintain a safe and clean environment for campers and team members

Clean up areas at the conclusion of activity

Perform other duties as assigned

Sports experience or knowledge of Soccer and Baseball
