Powertrain Program Management Engineer Jobs

Work with nominated suppliers to finalize Tool Kick-Off (TKO) and change management.

Calibration & Software knowledge (diagnostic tools) at the working level.

Lead engineering teams to deliver prototype & production transmission solutions that meet vehicle/program requirements.

Agile to learn new & advanced skills.

Develop component and subsystem-level DVP proposals.

Support system-level DVPs and complete DRBTR documentation.

Analyze subsystem and component requirements, lead powertrain performance analysis, and interpret analysis results.

7+ years of relevant experience required. Combat vehicle experience preferred.

Established knowledge on diesel engines, transmissions, generators/motors, heat exchangers, fans.

Experience in CAD and Advanced simulation tools such as Creo, UG-NX, or Matlab-Simulink.

Experience with Hybrid-Electric Powertrains preferred.

Excellent analytical skills to appropriately size subsystems and components.

5-10 years experience in automotive electronics application development (or equivalent experience)

Experience in xEV power electronics is a plus

Knowledge of Engineering tools such as PSPICE, Saber, MathCAD, Matlab/Simulink, LabView, etc.

Experience in the lab environment: tools such as oscilloscopes and other test equipment in addition to prototyping tools

Understanding of OEM/Tier1 product development and qualification process is preferred

Create solutions for customer-specific problems with Infineon products

Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience

Knowledge/experience of worst-case circuit analysis.

Knowledge/experience of Power Inverters and motor control

Knowledge/experience with automotive electronics and EMC fundamentals

Conduct multi-functional activities in development of the requirements of the controllers for electric drive systems

Support Benchmark activities The minimum requirements we seek:

Experience, understanding, and intuition for the physics of basic electric propulsion and motion control systems

Experience developing in an RTOS environment

Greater than 3 years experience with controls system development, modeling, and implementation in an embedded environment

Solid background in linear systems analysis, stability, and controller design

Creating dynamic models of electrical and mechanical systems

Model development and data analysis in Matlab/Simulink

The Management Of EPTO Can Include, But Is Not Limited To

Cascading requirements to the affected systems as thermal, energy, HV monitoring, moding, charging, etc…

At least 5 years of experience in product design/development

At least 3 years of experience in product design/development

CanAlyzer with demonstrable experience writing CAPL scripts

Systems requirement tools such as Doors, Polarion, etc.

Work planning and prioritization (including long-range planning and life-cycle management).

Prioritize / establish action plans to address deficiencies on assigned programs/areas via the corrective action and work management processes.

Perform engineering evaluations and reviews of applicable NRC and INPO documents and review, use, and share Operating Experience.

Review technical specifications and instruction manuals to determine testing and maintenance requirements of safety related equipment.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Act as a technical Program Engineer according to Callaway Energy Center procedures and policies.
