Job Summary: Powertrain Engineer to Work on Application engineering of Powertrain components like Power transfer unit, driveshaft, and Halfshaft.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Support in Development and Validation activities.
- Document the assembly build operations.
- Develop component and subsystem-level DVP proposals.
- Lead engineering teams to deliver prototype & production transmission solutions that meet vehicle/program requirements.
- Support, as needed at CTC and STLA, proving grounds in the Detroit Metro Area and other supplier locations outside Michigan state.
- Calibration & Software knowledge (diagnostic tools) at the working level.
- Complete TKO documentation.
- Should adapt to changing business scenarios and should be able to visit supplier test facilities as per necessity.
- Review, approve & track the System DVP&R and support the development of component DVP&Rs.
- Also support for Chief engineer activities like oversight of the assigned core program(s) as well as all integration programs.
- Should coordinate with engineers located at technical centres.
- Work with nominated suppliers to finalize Tool Kick-Off (TKO) and change management.
- Support for System performance development and calibration.
- Driveline operation, data collection and triage activities.
- Working with powertrain suppliers to develop PPAP.
- Support system-level DVPs and complete DRBTR documentation.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Agile to learn new & advanced skills.
- Own responsibilities.
- Must know Vehicle subsystems like Transmissions and Drivelines.
- Tools: Word, Excel, MS Office tools.
Qualification:
- Bachelor in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
