Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist.

Lift up to 20 lbs. over the head.

Carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.

Five (5) years of progressive experience in hospital nursing and proven administrative/leadership ability required.

Reports to the Nurse Manager.

Current RN registration with the Maryland State Board of Nursing.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required

Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members as demonstrated through written and verbal interactions

General computer skills are required

Minimum of 12 months of recent PICU or Pediatric Med-Surg experience

Recent pediatric experience, ICU experience, or pediatric internship within the last 12 months

Applies nursing theory to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of patient responses to health and illness

Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers

Participates in professional development based on the nursing professionals standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) or upper endoscopy

3 years of Procedural recovery

Participates in Evidence based improvement activities related to area of practice
