Support Quality Management System (QMS) activities, such as performing process audits, update SOPs, revise FMEAs and Control Plans

Assist plant with yield improvement projects and various training requirements

Support plant improvement efforts, as needed (e.g. improve QMS, documentation, problem solving capabilities)

ASQ CQE or CMQ/OE certification or willingness to achieve certification within two years

Experience in ISO certified or regulated workplace a plus

Steel container manufacturing or stamping experience a plus

Addresses documentation concerns with Plant management.

Communicate effectively with people in Engineering, Manufacturing, Research and Development, Logistics, Material Control, and plant management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Bachelor’s Degree but will consider equivalent work experience.

Two years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance and/or Manufacturing or Engineering.

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and related standards.

Demonstrated leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.

Establish and optimize an effective quality management system to achieve overall quality objectives.

Certification in ASQ (Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, or Certified Quality Manager) preferred.

Communicate and enforce customer, regulatory, and organizational requirements for product quality and contract compliance.

Train and develop individuals in quality-related functions to ensure skills and performance meet the highest standards.

Understanding of World Class Quality Management principles and their application with a large consumer product industry

3- 5 years related experience or training required

HACCP and SQF Certification a plus

Experience in the food industry as QC Analyst, Research Assistant or equivalent

Strong teamwork / interpersonal skills, and the desire to succeed

Ability to use standard desktop application including MS Office Suite and basic computer skills
