Plant Buyer Jobs

Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization from production employees to Corporate Management.

Locate and select new and alternate sources of supply to meet the production requirements of the plant.

Strong customer service skills that focus on meeting and/or exceeding customer expectations.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or Business.

Prefer 3-5 years' experience within production, procurement, or engineering in a manufacturing environment.

Horticulture knowledge/experience is a plus

Obtaining delivery certifications and reviewing materials received against orders placed

Procurement experience in landscaping, construction, plant nursery or related industry

Effective oral and written communication skills

Assist Nursery Manager with various other tasks as needed.

Negotiate pricing and procure plant material for multiple Teufel landscape projects in Oregon and Washington.

Continuously assess for quality, delivery, cost, feature, technology, sustainability, and risk management

3+ years of buying / purchasing experience

Excellent negotiation, communication, and networking skills

Government Contract or Aerospace Industry Experience highly preferred
