Overview A Pet Counselor is a professional who provides counseling services to pet owners and their pets. They help pet owners understand their pets’ behavior and provide guidance on how to best care for their pets. Pet Counselors also provide support to pet owners who are dealing with pet-related issues such as separation anxiety, aggression, and other behavioral problems. Detailed Job Description A Pet Counselor is responsible for providing counseling services to pet owners and their pets. They must be able to assess the pet’s behavior and provide guidance on how to best care for the pet. They must also be able to provide support to pet owners who are dealing with pet-related issues such as separation anxiety, aggression, and other behavioral problems. Pet Counselors must be able to communicate effectively with pet owners and their pets, as well as other professionals in the pet care industry. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of pet behavior and psychology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to assess and diagnose pet behavior
• Ability to provide guidance and support to pet owners
• Ability to work with a variety of pet owners and their pets
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Psychology, or a related field
• Certification in Pet Counseling or a related field
• Previous experience working with animals
• Knowledge of pet behavior and psychology
