Co-facilitate the CPA Student Advisory Council meetings .

Research and identify artists for inclusion in the Center for the Performing Arts schedule of performances.

Cu rate and organize engaging artistic events for students across campus .

Management of time and materials to maximize efficiency in fabrication.

BA/BFA degree in theatrical production for theatre, dance and/or opera or equivalent educational and professional experience.

1-2 years of experience in scenery fabrication.

Experience with foam carving and shaping.

Experience with finish carpentry including trim work, milling and shaping.

Experience in training and mentoring students in theatrical construction techniques.

Provides sound fiscal management for the department and demonstrates knowledge of budgetary opportunities and constraints.

Knowledge of museum operations with a focus on interpretive planning and program management.

Required and Preferred Education and Experience:

Extensive working knowledge of American colonial history with focus on 18th century Virginia

Proven leadership skills to establish and communicate goals that support CWF’s mission

Excellent verbal, written, and public speaking skills. Recognizes and uses appropriate communication channels in the appropriate contexts.

Incredible time management and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities.

Establish, build, and proactively maintain positive relationships with producers, creators, agents, managers, and industry representatives.

Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.

Contacts agents/producers for potential holds, drafts and submits offers while coordinating availability of artists.

Works with the Finance department to provide insurance certificates for artists requiring them and reviews any insurance-related issues in contracts.

Excellent organizational and follow-through skills.

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Making strategic planning recommendations and ensure strategic goal attainment for marketing and communication-related initiatives.

Creating and designing promotional and informational materials that increase the awareness and utilization of services, programs, and events.

Implementing and maintaining a brand identity for the Office of Performing Arts and Engagement

Communicating the Office of Performing Arts and Engagement brand effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum of 1 year working in marketing, graphic design, or similar creative field
