Five (5) years of progressive experience in hospital nursing and proven administrative/leadership ability required.

Reports to the Nurse Manager.

Current RN registration with the Maryland State Board of Nursing.

Florida State C.N.A. certification preferred

High school graduation or equivalent.

Completion of Nursing Assisting Training Program or equivalent at a State Approved site which is eligible for Florida C.N.A. examination.

Must be knowledgeable of vehicle maintenance policies and procedures.

CPR and First Aid Certification.

High School Diploma or GED plus one year of experience working with the frail/elderly population.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) or upper endoscopy

3 years of Procedural recovery

Participates in Evidence based improvement activities related to area of practice

Greeting patients Updating and filing patient medical records.

Coding and filling out insurance forms.

Arranging for hospital admissions and laboratory services.

Handling correspondence, billing, and bookkeeping.

MA Phlebotomy certification requirements completed within 90 days of hire

Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform patient care activities as evidenced by passing score of pre-employment assessment of 75%.

Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills in a diverse population.

Remote monitoring command center will be centrally located in the Staffing Office.

B. Essential Responsibilities and Competencies

Salary Range: Min $23.15 - Max $37.91/hrly. DOE

10 key, data entry skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

Review and interpret payment information from the EOB (explanation of benefits) to accurately apply payment and adjustment when necessary.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Critical-thinking, reasoning, problem-solving skills and adaptability to change

Ability to interpret explanation of benefits (EOB)

Administers preventative/population health management screens and questionnaires (e.g. PHQ2 and other behavioral health screens) and records in medical record.

Prints disposition forms and patient education materials

Assists with staging selected prior authorization for medication or supplies needed under the direction of nurse manager or designee

Maintain vendor logs/relationship and informs nurse manager or designee of equipment needing service

Requires at least two years of previous work experience. Experience in clinical setting is preferred

Organizational skills to set priorities and efficiently complete assigned work.

Completes annual mandatory education requirements, e.g., safety regulation and infection control review, departmental and unit-specific competencies, etc.

Uses manual/computer programs/terminal i.e. SCM, IDX, GE i.e. for access & data entry of appointment information.

If unable to attend non-mandatory activities, accept responsibility to review meeting minutes and document review, and become knowledgeable of issues discussed.

Organizational skills to effectively set priorities and efficiently complete assigned work.

Ability to effectively apply basic administrative skills, e.g., typing, filing, telephone skills, etc.

Work requires physical ability to meet core job requirements following practice setting demands for the patient populations regularly served.

Demonstrates understanding and knowledge of the technology systems necessary for patient data collection into EMR.

Accurately completes all required clinical and quality documentation consistently per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
