Job Description of Payroll and Benefits Specialist The Payroll and Benefits Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits for employees. This includes calculating and processing payroll, administering benefits, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The Payroll and Benefits Specialist must have a strong understanding of payroll and benefits processes, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of payroll and benefits processes and procedures
• Proficiency in payroll and benefits software
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
• At least two years of experience in payroll and benefits administration
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) certification preferred
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of payroll and benefits processes and procedures
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• Knowledge of payroll and benefits software
Job Experience
• At least two years of experience in payroll and benefits administration
• Experience with payroll and benefits software

Job Responsibilities
• Calculate and process payroll for employees
• Administer employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Prepare and submit payroll and benefits reports
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits
• Maintain accurate payroll and benefits records
• Reconcile payroll and benefits accounts
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Assist with the preparation of year-end tax forms
