Monday – Friday, Day Shift; 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (40 hrs/wk).

Demonstrated knowledge and skill in utilization of computer application and knowledge of word-processing programs (specifically, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel)

Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to work independently. 8. Ability to type 30 - 40 words per minute

Knowledge of Educational Methods as they relate to staff

Works cooperatively with other AltaPointe staff to effectively respond to identify program and staff education and training needs

Have knowledge of and assist with the distribution and summary of Patient/Individual Satisfaction Surveys

Knowledge of MindSet instructor training

Basic knowledge of medical terminology

Knowledge of Environment of Care

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Works in tandem with Risk Management and Quality departments to provide best outcomes for patients with quality care or legal concerns.

Knowledge of Patient Rights and Responsibilities, Joint Commission standards, and Centers for Medicare/Medicaid regulations

Facilitates issues relating to a patient’s hospital experience; attends appointments and/or care conferences, as requested by patients, physicians or staff.

May review/edit written communication from other department managers and Patient Representatives.

Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience

Superior critical thinking and crisis management skills.

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Communications, Health Care Management or a related field. 

Minimum of three (3) years years’ experience in a service position preferably in healthcare which involves multiple customer contacts. 

Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to supervise front line Guest Services team members and volunteers.

Maintain and advance Planetree Certification dependent upon internal and external collaborative relationships

Collect, measure, analyze, and communicate data related to patient experience and prioritize upgrades

Lead development and implementation of patient experience strategy that supports the organizational mission, values, and strategic plan

Minimum 5 years leadership experience in Healthcare

CPXP Certification or ability to get certified within first 2 years

Relevant Regulatory experience and/or understanding
