Part Time Preschool Assistant Teacher Jobs

Work with management to accomplish additional tasks when necessary

Manage the classroom through positive redirection, problem-solving and active listening

Collaborate with other staff and third parties to create successful experiences for children and their families

Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children

Maintain a positive attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm for education and learning

Possess excellent communication and customer service skills with children, staff, and families

Welcome families and engage them in conversation about their child's education and development

At least 6 months of experience at a licensed childcare center

Implement our award-winning curriculum in a way that meets each child's unique learning style

Foster relationships with children and provide a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

Document and share with families the important milestones in a child’s day using our app

Encourage and model social behavior and expectations which are developmentally appropriate

Apply principles of quality early childhood education and programming.

Manages staff-to-child ratios within licensing standards and according to Y policies for classroom coverage.

Previous child care experience preferred.

Must be 18 years of age or older to meet licensing requirements.

Possess the educational requirements of the program's licensing agency.

Assist in planning, preparing, and caring for the environment. Make any suggestions that may benefit the program.

Show initiative in the improvement of early childhood education, our program, and our curriculum.

Assist, plan, and implement the daily program under the direction of the lead teacher. This includes planning activities for the children.

Assistant teacher is responsible to fill in for the teacher as needed.

Be familiar with all health and emergency policies of the program and be ready to implement them if necessary.
