Strong time management and organizational skills.

Experience and\or knowledge of NYCHA, DYCD, DOH, DOE, or childcare policy and procedures.

Budget oversight, including development, submission, and monitoring program budgets in collaboration with executive management and HeartShare’s fiscal department.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Associate’s degree and at least three years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Effective communication skills, both oral and written.

Knowledge of set-up, operation, and maintenance of audiovisual equipment in a museum environment.

Knowledge of basic alcoholic beverage service and storage and/or ability to learn safe and appropriate practices quickly and effectively.

Be responsible for performing job duties/tasks of positions within scope of supervision.

Communicate with parents daily about participant’s experiences and report any issues to Camp leadership.

Writes lesson plans and itineraries for camp groups for campers ages 6-16.

Complies with area start up and shut down procedures and ensures all ambassadors complete tasks within a timely manner.

Help counselors identify and respond to camper behavior issues in a timely manner.

Know and understand all emergency policies and procedures associated with Camp programs.

Equivalency: A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements

Experience working with a horticulturist to develop a watering plan of plants and flowers

Experience troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, programming, and installing irrigation central control systems and parts

Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred

Knowledge of common safety/security practices

Respond quickly and appropriately to calls for service and security/safety issues

Patrol by foot/vehicle to protect park guests and park property from security/safety risks

Assist law enforcement officers when necessary

Effective communication skills, being open to feedback and the ability to act on it

Meet sales goals and expectations during your scheduled shifts

Support product replenishment activities that keep the store full and abundant

Assist with floorset execution, window changes, visual presentation and marketing placement as needed

Monitor all vehicles and employees entering and exiting the park
