Park Assistant Jobs in Ohio

Knowledge and skill in care, maintenance, and utilization of wildland fire suppression and prescribed fire and fuels treatments equipment.

Experience with IQCS data entry.

Degree in natural resource management or related field.

High School diploma, General Education (GED), or equivalent required.

Meet requirements for the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) standards for Prescribed Fire Burn Boss Type 2 (RXB2).

Currently qualified as Helicopter Crew Member (HECM) and/or Helicopter Manager (HMGB).

Performs mowing, blowing, trimming, edging, cutting, pruning and cleaning of facilities.

Supervise a team of 22 full time staff preparing work schedules, assignments and administering the performance management cycle.

Develop and implement Natural and Cultural Resource Management Plans for the parks 1,552 acres

Oversee the parks annual operating budget, all park operations and visitor services.

Educate the public about the parks natural, cultural, and historical resources through interpretive programs and events.
