Outpatient Program Therapist Jobs in Illinois

Life skill development, including self-care, time management, and goal exploration

Family therapy to involve and advise family members and teach them communication and coping skills

Academic support to help clients achieve their educational goals

Previous experience in substance abuse treatment, preferably in a detox or residential setting

Strong clinical skills in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and documentation

Individual therapy using evidence-based modalities like CBT, DBT, or MI

Current CPR certification or obtain within 30 days (fully remote work employees exempt)

Manage the selection, placement, development and performance of Addiction Counselors and interns.

Represent Hazelden Betty Ford services to various audiences to ensure consistent knowledge of services, processes and participation

Two or more years’ experience in the addiction field including 12 step facilitation

Certification must be from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Provide addiction rehabilitation services to patients in need according to the Hazelden Betty Ford standards of care as needed.

Develops and implements a Recreation Therapy (RT) program including parent education and support programs.

Collaborates with Director of Volunteer Services, Manager Inpatient Psychiatry, Manager Patient Care

Experience working with children in a psychiatric setting preferred.

Basic Life Support Certification (Heartsaver, AED): Required

Designs, implements and leads specialized diagnostic and daily therapeutic recreation activities for individual children and adolescents.

Updates policies and procedures pertinent to RT programming as needed.
