Job Description
Responsibilities
This position has dual responsibility of providing leadership/and direct supervision of the outpatient addiction counselors while also providing addiction counseling services to patients.
As a working supervisor, this role is responsible for managing the daily operations of the outpatient addiction program to ensure coordination of staff and clinical services and continuity of patient care. At the same time, this role is responsible for also providing clinical supervision to addiction counselors, students, and clinical interns to facilitate development of clinical competency and ethical practice.
  • Provide addiction rehabilitation services to patients in need according to the Hazelden Betty Ford standards of care as needed.
  • Manage the selection, placement, development and performance of Addiction Counselors and interns.
  • Manage daily operations of the site’s addiction program, ensuring the chemical dependency services delivered are in accordance with Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation’s standards of care and whose focus aligns with the strategic plan.
  • Represent Hazelden Betty Ford services to various audiences to ensure consistent knowledge of services, processes and participation
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in related field
  • Certification must be from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • One or more years providing clinical supervision to students or interns in a chemical dependency setting
  • Two or more years’ experience in the addiction field including 12 step facilitation
  • Current CPR certification or obtain within 30 days (fully remote work employees exempt)
  • IL: CADC or LCPC or LCSW
Preferred Qualifications
  • LMHC, LMFC, LCSW, LPC, LPCC or related field licensure
