Osp Designer I Jobs in Iowa

Responsible for fiber availability and determination of reinforcement requirements.

Intermediate knowledge of GIS applications such as ESRI and Schneider design software programs following Cable One Standards and specifications.

Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to clearly communicate information

Remote Access to select premium channels (Cable One, Sparklight, Cable America and ValueNet Fiber Only)

Design new and existing HFC plant extensions.

Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors

Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job

Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines

Basic knowledge to design piping systems

Knowledge of commercial availability and cost of materials

Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
