Job Skills Required Optometry Assistants should have excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate effectively with patients. They should also have strong organizational and administrative skills, as well as the ability to multi-task. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills are also beneficial. Job Qualifications Optometry Assistants typically need to have a high school diploma or equivalent. Some employers may require additional qualifications, such as a certificate or degree in optometry or a related field.
