Optical Transport Network Implementation Engineer Jobs in Texas

Bachelor's degree in Networking, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience in optical network infrastructure, transmission systems, layer 2/3 routers, and data services.

Experience in a data center or PoP environment.

Experience with managing or directing field operation technicians, engineers, contractors, or vendors in a Telco working environment.

Experience in collaboration across multiple levels and functions.

Working knowledge of OSP, ISP, AC/DC power systems, environmental controls relay rack/cabinet/cage construction.

Work with teams that specify the hardware, embedded software, and control/management software requirements for the platforms we consume.

Design and develop simple control systems and network management tools.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of experience in optical networking, optical transport, and software defined networking.

Experience working with Python, Go, C++, or a similar software language.

Experience with L1 and L3 architecture of complex networks.

4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience

Bachelor’s Degree in a technology related field or equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree;

5+ years' experience with major DWDM platforms;

3+ years' Experience with optical planning and modelling tools;

Experience with the rollout of large DWDM networks.

1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience
