Overview An Optical Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of optical equipment, such as microscopes, telescopes, and other optical instruments. They are responsible for ensuring that the equipment is in proper working order and that any repairs are completed in a timely manner. Detailed Job Description Optical Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the maintenance and repair of optical equipment, such as microscopes, telescopes, and other optical instruments. They must inspect and test the equipment to ensure that it is in proper working order and that any repairs are completed in a timely manner. They must also be able to troubleshoot any issues that may arise with the equipment and make necessary repairs. In addition, they must be able to install and configure new equipment and provide technical support to users. Job Skills Required
