Research & Development Manager Opportunity

Strategize and implement changes to existing product assortments, ensuring seamless supply and maintaining high-quality standards in line with the business objectives.

Optimize resource allocation and prioritize projects to execute the business strategy, including cost reduction initiatives and exploring dual sourcing opportunities.

Responsible for leading the two factory sites

Strong analytical capabilities, self-learner with the ability to think creatively

Profound knowledge in numeric data analysis and statistical tools

Technical experience or laboratory hands-on – advantage

Experience in multi-disciplinary system – advantage

Analyze raw data, c haracterization of processes and test results (statistics, features, etc.)

Participate in research, development and innovation activities and forums

EUMDR compliance experience or EUMDR gap assessment or EUMDR remediation. All these in packaging medical devices.

Medical device Design control knowledge

Medical device validations for sterile packages

Location - Vernon Hills, IL

Perform and document work in accordance with FDA/ISO regulations, including test protocols, test results, and other requirements

Collaborate with manager and cross-functional team in creating product and test plans

B.S. in Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering or other related degree with 5+ years of experience in biomedical research and/or product development

M.S. in Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering or other related degree with 3+ years of experience in biomedical research and/or product development

Experience with additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping processes for product design and development

Experience with 3D modeling using CAD software, Solidworks preferred

Good organizational skills- time management and attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal & project management skills

Hands on experience and/or knowledge of Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy & Scanning Electron Microscopy is plus.

Manage multiple assignments/tasks concurrently with the ability to question the priority of work

Excellent laboratory experimentation and data analysis skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
