Experience tutoring AP Biology & Chemistry (1-on-1 tutoring) or college-level tutoring experience

Identifying the best available learning resources that help students learn, practice, and master AP Chemistry and AP Biology

Designing activities for live Zoom sessions that capture the attention of 9-12th grade students better than social media or video games

Hosting live Zoom sessions during after-school hours

Making yourself available for 1-to-1 tutoring calls when students require it

Making curriculum design decisions to align the program with College Board standards

Second language skills: Basic conversational skills in a second language are preferred

Teaching/tutoring work history and any other relevant experience

Working hours: Flexible, but you can expect approximately 2 hours per day, 3 days per week

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to complete thorough and accurate work and manage time effectively to meet project timelines and produce high-quality results.

Experience teaching/tutoring small groups of students

Spanish content and pedagogical knowledge of Intermediate Spanish.

Bachelor’s degree in Spanish or undergraduate transcript with a minimum grade of “A” in 300-level Spanish courses.

Responsive to feedback and collaboration.

Relevant experience and knowledge of Data Analytics

Deliver online Data Analytics lessons to students of all ages (you choose what age groups you want to work with)

Submit post-lesson summaries so that students and parents have access to a recap

Respond to tutoring inquiries and messages from current and potential students

All classes are REMOTE, and can be done from anywhere in the world

No teaching/tutoring experience required; all necessary training is provided by the company before your first class

Conduct activities and lessons based on ESL teaching methodologies

Encourage and engage students to speak in English

Motivate students and use humor to induce a pleasant learning environment

Maximize students’ talk time through reading passages and conversation

Three years of previous online teaching experience is preferred.

ASLTA certification, ASLPI, NIC or EIPA (3.5) proficiency scores. Native signers are encouraged to apply.

Previous online teaching experience is a plus.

A Master's degree from a regionally accredited college in a relevant discipline.

Ability to communicate effectively with college faculty, staff, and students.

Pass a State or local academic assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction (California Basic Education Skills Test)

Conduct mini lessons in the process of writing in all subject areas, study skills, and other aspects of course preparation.

Become familiar with the educational materials and resources available to teachers and students.

Administrative duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time

Be willing to learn ways which will bring about the growth of self-esteem as well as improved skills

We do not require previous experience in the position of teacher/trainer.

Possibility of teleworking / remote work

You will be able to set the price of your classes

Remuneration between £20 and £40 /hour.
