Overview:
Offshore welders are responsible for welding and repairing metal components on offshore oil rigs and other structures in the marine environment. They must be able to work in a variety of conditions, including extreme temperatures and weather conditions. They must also be able to work in confined spaces and at heights.Detailed Job Description:
Offshore welders are responsible for welding and repairing metal components on offshore oil rigs and other structures in the marine environment. They must be able to read and interpret blueprints and welding diagrams, and use a variety of welding techniques, including shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), and flux-cored arc welding (FCAW). They must also be able to inspect and test welds for quality and accuracy.What is Offshore Welder Job Skills Required?
• Knowledge of welding techniques and processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding diagrams
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions

• Good physical strength and stamina
What is Offshore Welder Job Qualifications?
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a welding program or apprenticeship
