One to two years of experience as a Clinical Dietitian preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Represents Food & Nutrition Services at interdisciplinary meetings.

Responds to consults and nutrition screens and appropriately arranges follow-ups within the established timeframes based on departmental policy.

Serves as preceptor to Dietetic Interns and medical residents as appropriate.

Proficiency with multiple software applications such as: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Epic, Cbord, or HealthTouch

CDR Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist with the Commission on Dietetics Registration – RDN.

Licensure with the Dietetics and Nutrition Practice Council - Florida Department of Health – LDN.

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition or related field.

Required Licensure/Certification: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Relevant life support certification as determined at position level.

Minimum Experience: 1 year of experience in Clinical Nutrition. Preferred: 3 years of experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) certification is desirable or must be willing to obtain within the first year of employment

Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) and complicated enteral nutrition adult patients.

Participate as a member of the medical care team performing Nutrition Focused Physical Exams.

Educate medical staff, medical students, and dietetic students.

Master’s Degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics or an equivalent combination of education and experience

3-5 years of clinical nutrition experience

Experience in making enteral and parenteral recommendations and selecting appropriate formulas

Must demonstrate experience working effectively in a diverse environment
