They work in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers to diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and diseases. They also provide preventive care and health education to patients. Job Skills Required Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They must also be knowledgeable about medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, and medical procedures.
