Knowledgeable of and incorporates principles of adult learning in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of education program

Provides educational opportunities that benefit staff at all stages of their career development

Delivers competence-based programs for staff with a focus upon improvement of skills and retention of knowledge

Develops/coordinates education plans related to initial and ongoing competency validation

Plans, prepares and maintains materials for use in educational programs for accuracy and relevance to the target audience

Supports staff development with educational activities (which include remediation, mentoring, product roll-outs, etc)

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Serve as Director, Clinical Nurse Ethics

o Organize and manage the annual bioethics conference

o Conduct ethics and moral distress debriefing for clinical staff

o Serve as a member of the clinical ethics consultation team

o Develop programs designed to ameliorate moral distress

o Develop curricular material to promote nursing leadership in hospital ethics activities

Clinical expertise and knowledge is such that individual can resolve complex patient/management/physician problems without supervision.

Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served.

Provides four contact hours of educational activities, excluding basic patient education.

Minimum Experience Minimum Of Three (3) Years Professional Experience

Correlates patient history and support systems across continuum of care.

Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams making recommendations to facilitate patient care.

Implements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis and patient needs. Evaluates outcomes.
