The position requires excellent communication skills, pay close attention to detail and understand our operation’s logistics processes.

Must maintain yard organization as specified by the Warehouse manager.

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Preferred

One (1) year driving experience (Class A CDL): Preferred

Must be aware of all loaded and empty trailers within property and communicate information to warehouse personnel.

Pay up to $22 an hour depending on experience

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Shift is Sunday-Thurs 9:00 PM until finished

Performs inspections and moves trailers safely following all DOT regulations and company safe-driving policies.

At least 15% of the time, will be responsible for performing job duties as a Material Handler

Current forklift certification strongly preferred

Must have experience using a sit-down forklift, preferably within the last year.

Responsible for using an industrial tractor to move trailers as instructed within the yard to facilitate shipping and receiving functions

Perform cycle counts and/or yard checks

Work closely with Production teams

Perform additional duties as directed by management.

Prefer one to two years of commercial driving experience.

Please note that this position is on a call-in, as needed basis.

Rate of pay is between $38.75 and $43.47 per hour.

All candidates selected to interview must bring a current driving history record going back a minimum of 10 years.

Must be able to pass a background, alcohol and drug screen.

Works with transportation management to ensure the proper equipment is used on the proper route.

Works closely with fleet shop management to ensure any repairs are finished before using the equipment.

Follows instructions, and responds to management direction.

Less than high school education.

1 year of warehouse or transportation experience preferred.

Pallet Jack and Forklift Certification from Sysco. Can obtain once hired into the role.

High school diploma or equivalency plus 1 year of experience

Perform pre-trip inspection and inspect trucks thoroughly

Move all trucks in and around the premises

Assist in picking products for production from various warehouse locations

Track all containers coming onto and leaving the premises

Perform acceptance of inbound loads (per company standards)

One year of prior driving experience operating tractor trailer vehicles

Drive truck to transport trailers and to and from DC docks for loading, unloading and storage purposes

Complete Driver’s Daily Checklist on vehicle prior to starting each shift and report any mechanical defects

Adhere to corporate, departmental and regulatory operation and safety standards

Maintain availability to work varied shifts, weekends and overtime

Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

General knowledge of warehouse operations and yard management

Experience operating as a driver for a carrier or within a distribution or manufacturing facility.

Excellent analytical and quantitative skills

Facilitates the effective and efficient movement of inbound and outbound trailers

Coordinates with receiving and shipping on trailer placement.

Maintains daily spreadsheets on trailers placed on the yard and in the doors

Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.

Sort cargo received by account or intended location and store in proper location. Accurately label freight to destination.

Maintain clean work area. Clean out trailers if needed prior to moving them.

Verify and report damages as discovered. Perform daily yard check.

Perform all Plant Associate job duties as assigned

Operates company equipment in a safe and efficient manner to minimize the risk of injury and equipment damage

Must be 21 years of age

$22/ hour Plus overtime pay $33/ hour after 40 hours

Minimum of 1-year tractor/trailer experience (3 axle tractor, 53' trailer)

Valid driver’s license. Clean driving record and insurable
