Hostler (Cdl) Jobs

The Hostler position involves working closely with the warehouse function.

Hours of work are Tuesday-Friday 8pm-6am (Tuesday Night, Wednesday Night, Thursday Night & Friday Night- into 6am Saturday)

This position does require you to be Department Of Transportation qualified with a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.

Description:

• Opens and closes trailer doors, and places chocks around wheels when trailer is positioned for load/unload activities.
• Attaches/detaches 5th wheel using airlock mechanism.
• Adds fuel to trucks as necessary.
• Transport trailers to designated areas within physical plant operations using yard hostler tractor.
• Operates on-board computer and radio in order to identify trailer locations.

Preferred Requirements, Knowledge & Skills:

• Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills
• Experience in Traffic Preferred
• High School Diploma preferred
• Knowledge of General Regulatory & Safety Processes and Procedures
• Skills in Organizing, Planning and Prioritizing Work
• Troubleshooting and Problem Solving Capabilities
• Mechanical and Technical Aptitude
