Nissan Lube Technician Jobs

2-4 years’ experience servicing heavy equipment or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledgeable in the proper startup and shutdown procedures of CAT equipment.

Basic heavy equipment service/maintenance knowledge.

Strong problem solving skills and be detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Maintain lube records for all work performed.

Ability to read Scheduled Oil Samples (SOS) reports and analysis.

Provide services to customers following procedures and standards as outlined by management for Express Lane and ancillary services.

Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by service manager. Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.

Conducts business in an ethical and professional manner.

Exhibits high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.

Assist customers in making correct decisions for preventive maintenance needs. Make recommendations to customers, explaining additional services based on manufacturers recommendations

Clean facility as directed to maintain the cleanliness and general repair of the shop and property.

Determine management, production and quality requirements by asking questions and listening.

Know and understand the federal, state and local requirements which govern the company’s business.

Provide excellent customer service for all customers whether external and internal, specifically offering dependable vehicle service.

Receive service assignments from the service writer or service manager.

Keep your technical qualifications current by finishing any required training programs.

Lube Technician is responsible for performing lube related services for customers in a professional and efficient fashion.

General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations

Wage: Negotiable based upon experience

2 to 3 years preventative maintenance experience

Perform and/all the following maintenance tasks.

Create and complete work orders along with follow maintenance schedules pre-determined within various maintenance tracking software.

Able to work extended hours daily depending on workload. Good possibility of being in and out of extreme temperatures and environment.

MS Office and email savvy

Physically capable of handling large fluid hoses in all temperatures

Take and send oil samples

Maintain a valid driver’s license and immediately inform management of any changes in its status.

In down time, assist others in the service department or perform other duties as directed by management.

Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by service manager.

Complete all required certification courses respective to position.

Reports To: Service Manager or above

At least 1 year relevant experience

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience or negotiated flat rate

Complete multi-point vehicle inspection form

Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with facility and factory standards

Examine the vehicle to determine if additional work is necessary

Ensure customer’s vehicles are kept clean

Provide excellent customer service for all customers whether external and internal, specifically offering dependable vehicle service.

Performs lube oil filter services in a professional manner and performs vehicle inspections as required.

Possess an increasingly broad knowledge of how vehicles' complex components work and interact

Must meet dealership’s requirements for employment

Prior experience as a technician’s helper or apprentice preferred

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Communicate additional service/repair needs to service advisors

Service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using hand- or compressed-air powered grease guns

Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings and shackles

Performing a Multipoint Vehicle Inspections

Perform Maine State Inspections (Once licensed)

Perform lube, oil, and filter changes

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Proven experience working within a team environment.

Answering outbound calls and emails along with tracking leads

Assist with reporting and auditing

Performing front desk duties to keep the store running efficiently

High level of detail orientation and accuracy.

Compensation based on experience and certifications; up to $200K!
